Harvest Home Festival

September 24, 12:00 noon until 5:00pm

Join us at the Wellington County Museum as we celebrate the rural traditions of Wellington County with the sights, sounds, and tastes of the harvest season!  Most activities are ongoing all afternoon, rain or shine.

Demonstrations,  displays, entertainment, food and more!

Activities include threshing demonstration, antique tractor display, blacksmithing, rope making, sheep shearing, quilting, lace making, wool processing, food processing demonstrations, square dancing with the Elora Grand Squares, and family crafts and games.

Enjoy local food vendors, craft beer samples and stock up at the farmers’ market.

Savour the Flavours of Minto

Savour in the Street – August 12

The Savour the Flavours event is focused on displaying local produce and chefs. There are many hidden gems in this small community that do not always get the recognition that they deserve, and this event provides a venue for them to show these talents.

With a growing interest in local cooking and techniques such as the 100 kilometer diet, this event should guide members of the community to supporting healthy local food options like this.  By simply doing more local shopping and supporting our neighbours, we can continue to strengthening Minto’s economy, resulting in new businesses and more diversity attracted to the area.

Where? Elora St. Harriston, ON

When? Saturday August 12, 2017.  Guests arrive at 5:30-6pm for Social Hour, Dinner Served at 6:30pm, Event Ends at 8:00pm. Street Dance to Follow!

What? The event is an opportunity for local residents to sample the best local foods that the Minto has to offer. Local producers will be paired with local chefs to create tasty meals from the local area using seasonal food.  There will be 150 people in attendance

Purpose? To provide a fun exciting event that will educate on the importance of local foods, promote the products and services of our vendors and sample the high quality of product being created in and around Minto.

Price? Admission is $25 for guests this ticket includes 1  alcoholic beverages and Dance.  Cash bar will be available.
