Learn how to make two kinds of delicious South Indian crepes from scratch. Dosa is a type of vegan crepe made from fermented batter and is a typical part of the South Indian diet. Traditionally, dosa is served hot along with sambar (lentil curry), potato curry, and chutney. Chitra will walk you through the steps of preparing the batter to the delicate art of forming the crepe.
Masala Dosa (vegan crepe made of rice and lentils and filled with spicy potatoes)
~with Coconut chutney (made from shredded coconut, roasted channa daal, and tamarind)
Chickpea flour crepe (vegan omelette)
~with Garlic tomato chutney (made from fresh garlic, ginger, tomatoes, and onions)
Beginner style, hands-on learning, recipe handouts and a meal to share.
Protip: bring containers to take your creations home and an apron (not necessary).
